The Board of Directors of the Fund approved supporting
modern technology with a maximum of 70% of the value of the loan for the
projects of the series of broiler poultry, greenhouses and aquaculture for
their importance in the food security system, in line with the strategic
directions of the Kingdom in the agricultural sector according to the
transformation program 2020 and the vision of the Kingdom 2030 In order to
promote modern technologies and raise productive efficiency as well as
rationalize the use of water, while following developments and updates of new
technologies in the agricultural sector.
A workshop was held in the presence of Fund officials and
specialists in the fields of poultry and greenhouses, including academicians, investors,
and some workers in both sectors.
The team met with several representatives of the Ministry of
Environment and specialists in the sector: Aquaculture, poultry and greenhouses.
The Executive administration will review the latest technologies and their
developments from one period to another and include them within the projects
targeted to be supported.
